(Note this revised date replaces the original date of 11th January, which had to be postponed due to the weather conditions.)

Following on from the success of the first meeting held in Manchester in January 2009, we are pleased to announce the programme for the second meeting to be held at the University of Kent, Canterbury. Morphometric analyses are now widespread in biological and medical research, and new approaches to shape analysis are continually being developed and refined by statisticians.
Given the sizeable communities of both biologists and statisticians interested in shape analysis in the UK, this meeting aims to provide a stimulating forum for cross-disciplinary engagement between researchers. As such, we hope that the meeting will be an opportunity to showcase some recent research developments and stimulate new collaborative projects at the interface of statistics and the life sciences .
The programme is planned so that participants may be able to travel to Canterbury, attend the meeting and return home on the same day .
We have invited six speakers, who are prominent experts in their specialty fields and who can provide different perspectives on morphometrics and statistical shape analysis.
Participants are encouraged to bring a poster and discuss it with other members of the community. The programme offers plenty of time for discussion during lunch and the tea/coffee breaks. If you would like to present a poster, just select this option on the registration form. Guidance for poster presenters is available by clicking here.
To register for the meeting, please follow this link to the registration form. For any special enquiries, please contact the local organisers.
